A family tree app your whole family builds together
Most family trees are kept by one patient person. In KulaBook, every relative adds the part of the family they know, an admin reviews each change, and the tree grows branch by branch, on the web and the Android app.
Parents, spouses, children and siblings, going back as far as anyone remembers. Each marriage keeps its dates, including when it ended. Each person can carry a nickname and a maiden name beside their formal name, a date of birth and, for those who have passed away, a date of death with their age at the time. Hover over anyone in the tree to see who they are at a glance.
Relatives add their own branch
Invite relatives by email to join the family space, or ask them for their details on WhatsApp, where they answer a few questions and their parents, spouse and children are linked as they confirm. See how the WhatsApp family tree works.
Reviewed before it changes
When a relative adds or edits someone, the change waits under Tree changes until an admin accepts it. A family that trusts its members can switch on automatic approval, and any accepted change can be reverted later.
Drawn the way your family likes
An admin chooses how the tree is drawn for everyone: the shape of each box, its shadow and border, and a colour stripe for each line of the family. Each member can also keep their own view of the tree.
Start from what you already have
Already have names in a spreadsheet? An admin can import members from a CSV file and then link them in the tree, instead of typing every name again.
Private to your family
Your tree is not part of a public world tree. It stays in your family's own space, stored in India and walled off from every other family. Relatives are told when they are added and can see, correct or remove their details, and a child's details need a parent's consent. The tree is part of the 30-day free trial and every yearly plan.
