Kulabook, the family book

Turn your family tree and its stories into a family history book

Kulabook is KulaBook's AI writer. It reads the stories your relatives write and the dates in your family tree, and writes them into one book: your family's history, told in order, in your language.

Start your family's book

Written from what your family shares

The book draws on two things: the stories members write on the Story Board, and the tree's own dated moments, such as births, marriages and deaths. A story is placed by the date it is about, so a grandmother born in 1936 appears in 1936, not in the year she was added to the tree. The writer is told only about the people each chapter mentions, so it introduces them correctly.

Two ways to tell it

As a chronicle, with one chapter for each year, oldest first. Or as a storybook, with one chapter for each generation and a story for each household, which can open with a short note on the history of the places it names.

In your family's language

An admin chooses the language the book is written in: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam or Gujarati, and can add instructions of their own for the writer.

A page for each person

The book can also carry a page for each member, read straight from the tree. No AI writes these pages, so they use no tokens, invent nothing, and follow each member's privacy choices.

Kept up to date

The book refreshes on the schedule your family picks: every day, every other day, once a week, or only when you choose to write a fresh book. Earlier books are kept in an archive.

How it is paid for

Kulabook is part of the yearly plans and runs on tokens from your family's prepaid wallet: each book uses only the tokens it needs, and nothing is written once the wallet is empty. It is not part of the free trial. See plans and prices, and the family tree it is written from.
